It used to kind of be a big deal when you spotted a raccoon in Manhattan and someone would call Animal Control or the police.  Now  we’ve gotten used to them and  one raccoon regularly visits  our building’s back alley.  Some people in our building  believe  a raccoon is responsible for the plant that keeps being uprooted out front.
